Winnie’s Lodge is situated at the end of Daylesford’s beautiful Queensberry Street, high atop Cornish Hill in the desirable Wombat Hill enclave, just a 10-minute walk to the town center and an even shorter stroll to the spectacular Botanical Gardens. Offering families and groups of up to 6 guests gorgeous lodging across 3 well-appointed bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms and a huge communal living, dining, and kitchen area.

The Space

Winnie’s Lodge is an entertainer’s dream! Multiple outdoor balconies and alfresco areas allow guests to soak up the surrounding luscious established gardens and enjoy spectacular Daylesford sunset views from the decking at the front of the property. Sit back in this superb tree-shaded setting and enjoy the wild birdlife in this peaceful location free of traffic. This architecturally designed home is full of little surprises with little nooks and areas to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Surrounded by magical landscaped gardens, with verandah areas and a large rear patio, Winnie’s Lodge offers year-round entertaining no matter what the weather.

Three spacious bedrooms at Winnie’s Lodge each offer comfort style and luxury, with the master bedroom featuring built-in robes, private verandah, ensuite with toilet separate bath, and walk-in shower. The second bedroom features French doors to a secluded verandah, allowing guests to enjoy sunset views from the western facing decking complete with a suspended egg chair. The third bedroom is located next to the second shared bathroom and offers a luxurious king-split bed for greater flexibility depending on group sleeping requirements.

Through to the spacious living room and adjoining dining room, guests will enjoy vaulted ceilings and large windows providing a light-filled environment with French doors that open onto the front verandah deck and rear patio, connecting the expansive interior space with the outdoors. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to enjoy an in-house culinary experience, complete with gas stove, oven, fridge, and servery window to the outdoor patio.

Hardwood floors throughout the living areas and bedrooms are a beautiful feature of Winnie’s Lodge. While ducted gas heating, reverse cycle air conditioning in lounge and dining room, gas “Heat n Glo” fire and Ned Kelly wood fire offer comfort for all seasons. A large galley laundry leads from the 2 bay carport to the rear of the property adding further functionality and convenience to this fabulous home.

Neighbourhood

Daylesford and surrounding region has long been considered a special place of healing, relaxation and indulgence. Nestled at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, the region is most famously known for its natural mineral springs and is home to some of the best restaurants, cafe’s, galleries, wineries and distilleries regional Victoria has to offer. Located just under an hour and a half from Melbourne, the region is home to some of Australia’s most spectacular natural landscapes brimming with native flora and fauna. Getting Around

There is a limited bus service operating between our beautiful towns. The PTV website will provide the most up to date schedule/timetable. There is a taxi and maxi-taxi local service which can be contacted. Unfortunately Uber has not quite reached us yet.
