Passing Clouds Winery

Musk Winery Cellar Door And Restaurant

Passing Clouds is a 2nd generation wine company started in 1974 by Graeme Leith & Sue McKinnon, the reins are now steadfastly in son Cameron’s hands.

Passing Clouds was originally established in the Bendigo region where Graeme Leith & Sue McKinnon planted their first Shiraz and Cabernet vines at the Kingower estate in 1974.

Since then Passing Clouds has built a stellar reputation for its distinctive reds. The grapes are traditionally vinified to make elegant wines which are expressive of their site

Now at Musk, in the Macedon Ranges, Passing Clouds is renowned for producing world-class cool climate wines. It is the coldest region for growing grapes on the Australian mainland.

Passing Clouds focuses on the varieties that excel in a cool climate – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. At 771m ASL, the Fools on the Hill estate vineyard provides an extraordinarily slow ripening climate for producing intense, delicate and yet complex wine.
