Trentham sits in the hills between Daylesford and Woodend, about 20 minutes’ drive from Daylesford. It has its own microclimate, so pack a jumper.

Trentham Falls
Trentham Falls drops more than 32 metres over a basalt cliff, the highest single drop of any waterfall in Central Victoria. It’s a five-minute walk from the car park to the lookout, along a gravel path or down a set of steps. There’s no access to the base, so stay behind the barriers.

The Wombat State Forest surrounds the town, and the Domino Trail follows the old railway line from Trentham to Lyonville.

The Great Trentham Spudfest
Every autumn, usually on the first weekend in May, Trentham celebrates the potato. The Great Trentham Spudfest has been running for almost 20 years and draws more than 10,000 people, with a street fair, live music, the Spud Olympics and a food trail through local venues. If you’re planning a May weekend, book early.
