Domino Trail

The Domino Trail follows the old railway line from Trentham towards Lyonville, which closed in 1978. Start at the restored Trentham station, where signs tell the story of the line, then follow the gentle grade into Wombat State Forest under tall gums and tree-lined stretches. It's largely flat and well signed, so it suits walkers, families and bike riders alike, and you can turn around wherever suits. Keep an eye out for forest birds along the way. Head back into Trentham afterwards for a coffee or a pub lunch.
