Du Fermier

Eating at Annie Smithers' little High Street restaurant feels a lot like lunch at a friend's farmhouse. Annie writes a new four-course French country menu each weekend, built around what is coming out of her kitchen garden and orchard at nearby Babbington Park. Matched wines are offered and the room is relaxed and rustic. Du Fermier holds two hats in the 2026 Good Food Guide. Tables are released online two months ahead and fill quickly, so plan early. Groups are capped at eight and children over 10 are welcome.
