Wonderful stay, the home was clean the linen was fresh. Walking distance from the town and the hosts were wonderful, had the lights and heater on for our arrival.
We also ordered the cheese and wine package (add on) and there was a delicious selection of local produce waiting for us in the fridge, really got our weekend away off to a great start.

We really enjoyed our stay at Savanna Lodge. It was a quiet location that was a pleasant walk into town for our group, who all enjoy getting out and exploring by foot. House was spotless and access was very easy. Would definitely recommend to others.

We booked this stay when travelling from Melbourne to participate in the Ballarat marathon and enjoy a long weekend in Daylesford.
The accomodation was spacious and comfortably fit 5 adults and a baby.
The home was large, comfortable and had all the essentials you’d expect. Beds were comfortable, heating was excellent and the location was great.
A long walk into the town centre or a very short drive.
The highlight was the large backyard and fire pit area.
Would recommend and would happily stay again.

It’s a nice, cute house, that does look as pictured. Comfortable lounge room, nice balcony and outdoor setting where we could eat breakfast, enjoy the sun with a drink, or play card games. Kitchen quite well stocked with glasses, wine glasses, plates etc. Clean, comfortable rooms.

We had an amazing 3 night stay at Savanna Lodge. The house was clean, so comfortable, beautifully decorated, and a huge backyard. Will definitely come to stay again

Beautiful accommodation, very clean and tidy. Beautiful peaceful location. Short walk to the gardens or into town, or drive if you don’t like hills!
Fantastic communication leading up to and during accomodation. Had no issues but felt confident they would have been dealt with if needed.
Kitchen was well set up also.
Lovely garden and outdoor space also.
Very comfy couches too!

House was clean & simple furnishings, beds good & electric blankets were welcome BUT- House was lacking in a number of areas for the price. BBQ advertised is a smoker & not a BBQ. Yard & decking is NOT dog secure. Had to tie boards between decking rails to secure yard as our border collie went straight through. Very flimsy fence at side.
Kitchen facilities are limited. Not enough cutlery (4 knives & forks), saucepans (2) had mismatched lids. No large saucepan/pot.
The back & front yards & garden in desperate need of maintenance & mowing – it wasn’t inviting. There was also 2 water leaks- 1 under kitchen sink & front mains tap (both reported).

I felt this was not really worth the money. It is like a cabin at a caravan park and has no insulation so you need to run heaters all the time or it gets super cold quick. The backyard was a bit of a let down it had tendency in one side and a weird fire pit in the middle of the yard but just on some concrete.
The appliances are okay and if you have a large group there is no big pot to make spaghetti. Just little pots to boil water
It’s clean and does the job but not what I was expecting for over $400 per night
I kept the heater on and electric blankets. Very basic place
Don’t think I’d come back with the price tag

Savanna Lodge was a perfect place to go with friends and enjoy Daylesford. Was walking distance to the Main Street, and a relaxing place to just chill out.

The house appeared much more modern and clean in pictures than in person. Squeaky floors and terrible curtains that kept falling off the rails / didn’t close properly. The gate won’t close properly so it was banging all night in the wind. Crumbs left in cupboards and grass/garden very overgrown leaving the backyard a bit useless for use. Pretty expensive stay considering the condition and maintenance of the home.

The house is very cute and was quite clean. The backyard needs some love. It was overgrown, you wouldn’t be able to sit on the grass as it’s too long and we ended up hosing down all the chairs and decking due to spider webs. The house is dog friendly but the fence between the two houses is a wire and the neighbours had there dog at the fence which was very visible and made our dog unsettled. The house had a kitchen full of stuff to use. Quiet area and good location. Had issues with the fridge but the owner was very quick to reply.

Savanna Lodge is a lovely cottage with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Walkable to town or very quick couple of minutes drive. Large backyard but not quite dog proof. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows & towels supplied. We had a fabulous stay with our adult children & dog.

We had a wonderful stay at Savannah Lodge. It was very easy to find in a very quiet neighbourhood, with plenty of room for our two cars. The cottage was a great size for the three of us, with plenty of space and 3 good size bedrooms. The kitchen had everything that we needed for our stay. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and the 2nd toilet in the laundry was a bonus. The heating was very efficient throughout the house, so we always felt warm and cosy.
We were only a walk away from the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and a quick drive into the main streets of Daylesford to reach restaurants and sightsee.
It’s definitely worth a visit to Daylesford as there is so much to see and do. Our stay at the cottage made our trip extra enjoyable, and we’d definitely like to return in the future.

Pleasant place to stay at, very cozy and clean, heating worked effectively. Walkable distance from town and very peaceful. The only thing is that if you’re a larger group and planning on staying for multiple days, consider bringing/buying your own essentials like toilet paper and salt & pepper. That aside we had a comfortable stay, host was also understanding and flexible with our check-out time. 🙂

House was nice and cosy however the backyard was not at all secure for dogs even though pets were accepted in the booking. The house is in a good location and Daylesford itself is certainly worth a visit!

An easy drive to town centre, Daylesford lake and Botanic gardens. Good heating on cold nights and clean home. Very cosy environment. Remember that kitchen only stocked bare essentials (tea, coffee, sugar)

The lodge was great. Its in a quite neighbourhood. The house is well maintained and clean. Its walkable distance to the town , taking around 15mins to get to the city central. The backyard is also fairly big with a fire pit and plenty of chairs. The only thing i would say is that if you are planning on cooking, there arent a lot of ingridents present other than just salt,pepper, sugar and just the basics. So its better to come prepared from home, if you are planning on cooking. Overall the stay was really good and would recommend this place to others too.
