The Space
Modern, yet oozing timeless style. This is an elegant and invigorating backdrop to your cultural escape: spacious open plan living, an abundance of natural light and magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows framing uninterrupted, 180-degree panoramic views. A covered deck outside is your perfect vantage point over Lake Daylesford for sunset, sunrise or anything in between.
Every detail of Province Lake House has been carefully curated for the ultimate guest experience. Fine surfaces and plush furnishings evoke a feeling of true luxury, and unique artworks from local artists feature in almost every space. Be immersed in a stunning house that truly encompasses classic Daylesford charm.
The main lounge is a multi-functional space with a gas log fire and large TV for entertainment. Floor to ceiling windows look out onto the deck and the lake beyond to one of the most unique and captivating views Daylesford has to offer. Adjacent to the lounge is a table large enough to seat a full house. The kitchen, spacious and well-appointed with all the necessary appliances. An island bench with stool seating is perfect for breakfasts, nibbles and pre-dinner drinks.
Outside, a spacious decking with automatic blinds and outdoor setting that overlooks Lake Daylesford is an entertainers dream. Just below, a small garden leads to the bank of the lake and a walking track that circles the water. Like the rest of the home, the bedrooms are bright with clean white walls and light French-European style furnishings. Both ensuites and the main bathroom are contemporary and functional, fitted with off-white tiles and complimentary toiletries. Ducted heating and air conditioning maintain year round comfort no matter what the season.

Getting Around
There is a limited bus service operating between our beautiful towns. The PTV website will provide the most up to date schedule/timetable. There is a taxi and maxi-taxi local service which can be contacted. Unfortunately Uber has not quite reached us yet.

This is our second stay in this wonderful house overlooking the lake at Daylesford. Spacious and beautifully appointed, the house was perfect for our multigenerational family group. The setting is truly magical. The house has everything we could possibly want and need. Big living spaces, well stocked kitchen and five lovely bedrooms. We will visit again!

While the location of this property is unbeatable and the space itself is undeniably nice, we were disappointed by the cleanliness, which did not meet expectations for the price we paid. Hairs in the shower, crumbs on the chairs, also the decking and on the day of checkout, we discovered several items that had been there since the previous guest including a used nappy behind a door and the addition of a little gift of ” used personal items” under the bed. This oversight was unsettling and raised concerns about the thoroughness of the cleaning process. For a property marketed as high-end, these issues detracted significantly from the overall experience. While the amenities and setting were excellent, the lack of proper cleaning made it difficult to justify the premium cost. We hope future guests will benefit from improved attention to detail in cleaning and preparation.

To walk into the house and see the view of the lake was magic. Drinks on the deck sublime. — Breakfast was not included but we did like all the amenities in the kitchen. There was everything we needed to cook. We also appreciated the coffee pods glad wrap and foil uht milk etc.

Wonderful – would definitely stay there with friends again! — The property was in a lovely location with direct access to the lake, but away from the main road so nice and quiet. It had beautiful views, was beautifully furnished, and the kitchen had more utensils than mine at home, so everything that you needed. It was perfect for our girls weekend away, as all of the beds split into singles, so easily accommodated 10 people.

Amazing house stocked with everything you need plus more (especially the kitchen). Such a great feel. The backyard is lovely, with a gate in the fence to walk down to the lake. The only issue we had which the house had highlighted in their info book is that the internet is temperamental and often stops working, especially in the evenings (at least for us, the weather could also have been a factor in it though). The beds are sooo comfy!!! Would definitely start again.

We absolutely enjoyed this house for a relaxed reunion of five busy siblings over a chilly mid-winter weekend. The house location is as good as it gets in Daylesford. Tastefully furnished with a large comfortable indoor and outdoor living areas overlooking the lake were perfect. The house has efficient heating, vast amounts of luxury crockery and stemware, every possible item for food preparation. The hosts were proactive and friendly communicators who immediately responded to our finding no teabags among the generous supplies of every other conceivable item for an easy stay. It would be hard to find any place better for a close group wanting to spend relaxed time together.

Extremely beautiful place with an extraordinary view, very clean and spacious. The place had very comfortable beds and couches and with 3 bathrooms accommodated three families easily. Washing products were from a good brand and extra pillows and blankets were available. The host was very responsive and had provided us with clear instructions prior to our arrival. I would definitely recommend this place!

Really beautiful spot right on the lake. So peaceful and relaxing to be able to sit in the deck and look out onto the river. Bedrooms were nice and big with comfortable beds so there was no fighting about who got the best room. Only issue was that the oven wasn’t the best and we had to use the bbq to cook the chicken we brought up. The dryer also does not work. I have a baby that is in reusable nappies and I was unable to use the dryer to get their clothes dry.

We absolutely loved this house. We were a family group of three generations. The views across the lake are magnificent with direct access to the lake and its beautiful walking paths. The living spaces are superb. All the bedrooms are well styled and comfortable. The kitchen is great to work in and has every possible convenience you could want. The ambience from the fire was delightful. The balcony and garden were a delight. We have already booked in again for next year. Thank you for a delightful stay.

Province on the Lake was a beautiful place to stay. Even though it rained, we still enjoyed the magnificent view over the lake with lots of bird life.We had 10 of us stay for my wife’s 60th family gathering and it was perfect. Lots of space for everyone in a modern and beautifully decorated home. It wasn’t cheap but it was well worth it.

My parents and three sisters and I had the most enjoyable weekend at Province Lake House Daylesford. We could not have asked for anything better than the beautiful fitout of the house and the amenities, the incredible view and the location right on the lake. Thank you so much for letting us stay in such a great place, this time my family and friends came out with ten people on vacation, this beautiful place really made our vacation very enjoyable, all of us loved this house so much, it was A very new house with oversized glass windows can see the whole lake view from sitting in the house. Province Lakehouse is absolutely beautiful! We were lucky enough to stay here and celebrate a significant birthday for a family member this year. The house is extremely spacious, and has so many amenities to allow for big family dining, and a place to relax in a group and on your own. Our kids absolutely loved the house too! There is so much to see around the house, particularly on the walks around the lake! There are also some great games and books available to use, which is always a nice change up for the kids! All of the bedrooms are huge! The kitchen is beautiful, and super easy to cook in, even with a few cooks in the mix 😂 the views are breathtaking from the back deck.
I absolutely recommend visiting the Province Lakehouse if you are planning a trip to Daylesford. This was one of the family’s favourite trips, and we certainly look forward to returning!

What an incredible home. It definitely takes your breath away walking through the front door and seeing all the way down to the back of the property with the amazing views of the lake.
The bedrooms were all well appointed, bedding and mattresses were super comfy.
The only thing that we would call out is that we had to wash all the wine glasses in the cupboard as pretty much all of them had lipstick marks/looked to be unwashed. A really small detail that may have been overlooked but did not take away from the entire experience.
The property is just INCREDIBLE! We will definitely stay again!

This property was everything it promised to be. The hosts were super responsive when we checked in to find a blind broken in the living room. They had it fixed the next day. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfortable and the location was stunning right onto the Lake. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect home for our extended family of 3 generations. It’s in an idyllic location, right on the lake, with direct access to the walking track. The town centre is only minutes away. This modern home has everything you could need, including very comfortable beds and lovely showers. Great heating kept us warm on the chilly nights and at lunch, we enjoyed the view over the lake, from the balcony. We would definitely recommend this home to families and groups of friends.

Amazing property and a great stay. It was a last minute booking for a big group but Ant was very very helpful from information about the property to providing contacts for in-house masseuse and chef. Service and accomodation was A+.
