Piccolo Lane Daylesford

The property itself is beautiful and very well organized, but unfortunately, the lack of maintenance and cleanliness let it down. When we arrived, the indoor area had a musty smell, and other than a turned-on radio, it didn’t feel as though anyone had prepared the space for guests. The outdoor area has huge potential, but it was neglected: the outdoor bathtub looked far from guest-ready, there were dirty dog bowls (despite host knowing we brought pets), the outdoor lights didn’t work at night, and the fire pit still contained ashes from previous guests. Most concerning was finding moldy potatoes left in the fridge, which almost made one of our dogs sick, a clear sign the fridge hadn’t been checked in a while. Additionally, the bath towels were left with the bath mat stacked on top of them, which felt very unhygienic. Overall, it’s a nice place with great potential, but due to the lack of care, we won’t be returning.

We completely loved our weekend in Daylesford. The accommodation was cute and whimsical. The interior was beautifully designed and had absolutely everything we needed.

Cute stay, close to town and across the road from the convent!

This caravan in Daylesford was a great little stay! It was in the heart of Daylesford, only a couple of minutes walk from Cliffy’s but also quiet and peaceful. The caravan was cute and had a really great bed and heating system. The fireplace works but is hard to maintain with the wood provided and due to the size of the fireplace itself. Although, the caravan was a little bit dusty and smelled a bit weird, but it was alright with the windows open and a diffuser. The shower leaked a little bit and the main door to the caravan constantly got stuck on the doorframe, requiring excess force to open. All in all though, it was a really great little place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had such a fabulous stay here! It was a cold weekend but we were so warm and cosy. The location was so close to town and was really accommodating for our dog.
The hoists have done a beautiful job of decorating and creating such a peaceful and homey vibe. When we arrived they had started the heater for us so it was warm and well lit up.

We had a wonderful experience for our short stay! A great location that’s near the heart of Daylesford, but still tucked away for some nice privacy.

We had such a lovely stay here. The outdoor bath is an absolute highlight. The location is peaceful and private. The caravan is beautifully appointed, well-provisioned and so cosy for a winter weekend.

We had a lovely stay in Picollo Lane. Although it rained all weekend it was warm and cosy in the caravan and very close to town and the Sunday market. Courtyard is cute and feels nice and private. Would recommend to anyone who would like to be able to walk to anything Daylesford has to offer and doesn’t need a large space for their accommodation.

The yard was as cutely curated as the caravan and made for a perfect stay in Daylesford in a different type of accomodation.

Lovely & cosy caravan with private courtyard close to town. Air conditioned, comfy bed, very private, with large outdoor bath under the stars. Tastefully decorated with small kitchen and breakfast bar.

Very cute, private little getaway super close to everything. Exceeded expectations with listed amenities! Certainly the most dog accommodating place I’ve stayed yet – dog beds and bowls available for use and the secure yard made my pup feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

A lovely little getaway spot tucked away only a short walk away from everything we needed. We loved the privacy and an afternoon soak in the outdoor bath tub was our highlight! The flexibility to bring our 2 dogs made the trip even more enjoyable. Definitely a spot we will be sharing with friends and family, and a location we will come back to in the future. Loved it!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Daylesford.
The little caravan was so cosy and had all that we could of asked for and the fur babies loved it as well.
Was only a 5 minute walk from the shops and there were plenty of walking paths for us to explore around the town.
Would highly recommend Piccolo Lane to anyone who is visiting Daylesford and who loves to travel with their four legged friends. We didn’t have to pay for the Doggos either which was great!

fantastic little hideaway vintage caravan done up to five star class. animal friendly was absolutely wonderful to have the Golden retriever stay with us she loved it probably moving us. outdoor hot tub was brilliant, probably one of the best days my partner and I have had. lift feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated

Perfect location for a short stay, was able to immediately decompress, relax and thoroughly enjoy the well considered character of the van and only a short stroll to town, cafes and restaurants.

Our dog got diagnosed with cancer so we took her for a little trip, maybe one of her last so I was super excited to see all the amenities provided for pets as well as the guests

The hosts were very easy to contact on a weekend and they literally had EVERYTHING you would need for a night away. Just when you thought you missed something, BAM it’s there in the cupboard somewhere !!
I’ve never stayed in an Airbnb where they provided that much

Very cosy and warm! Loved the outdoor fire pit and bath.

We only stayed here for one night during busy Easter period as it was the only place available. Very cool concept and cosy! Unfortunately on arrival there was a noticeable wet dog smell and could have used another significant vacuum or a vacuum available at guest disposal. We had to get in contact with the rental company as no firewood was left available for us, kindly they got us some firewood but only about 3 and a half hours after being notified. The best part about this place was the shower with good water pressure and the comfy bed. Although we found it comfortable I feel we were robbed of our money for this stay, too expensive for what you get!

This location was very convenient, and easy to access all of the local area at a walking distance.

Such a gorgeous little caravan & private courtyard, easy parking right outside the entrance at the end of a laneway – there was even a little nook in the side of the caravan with a dog bed & bowls. A lovely part of Daylesford within easy walking distance of Kadota & Cliffy’s with the Convent across the road. Super clean & homely – the caravan has a little fireplace which would be lovely & cosy in winter. Something different for a fun getaway – highly recommend.

Cool and cozy property located close to pretty much everything. We’ll kept and clean.
Timely responses and were able to accommodate request for an early check in which we were grateful for. Would recommend.

This was a lovely RV to stay in, and the private garden with bath, greenery, and lots of fairy lights was bigger and more beautiful than expected. Really lovely touches outside and decor in the RV. HOWEVER, our arrival day was 33° Celsius, and the RV & bathroom were furnaces. No windows open or cooling on to prepare for our arrival. Turns out the “air-conditioning” is a bulky and mostly useless fan. Even with windows open, “air-con” on, we couldn’t go inside until late evening, which was still a struggle to sleep. Also, no aeroguard etc. even though it ended up being very densely populated by mosquitoes. These are the things that I’d usually overlook, but not for over $350 for ONE night. If you’re a light sleeper, you can hear cars all night. Don’t recommend, and I’ve never left a negative Airbnb review before. Shame.

Will definitely be coming back. Beautiful little caravan tucked away in the centre of Daylesford town. Near the botanical gardens, convent and main shops. Lots of little touches that we really enjoyed.

Very cute accomodation in a fantastic location.

Our only concern was the temperature of the caravan. It was unbelievably hot when we arrived as no air con was on. Once the aircon was on for a few hours it did cool down a little, but was still a very hot nice. Would recommend a new air con for the summer months, and bed linen that isn’t flannelette would also be great.

Would be amazing and cosy during winter with the bath and fire, so would love to return when the weather is cooler!

Really lovely cute place to stay! Right in the heart of Daylesford. Bath is luxury, and the caravan has everything you need.

amazing little place to have a break for a few days, down the laneway and nicely secluded which is perfect to unwind. easy walking distance to town and an even shorter walk to cliffy’s for a brunch. we will definitely be back 🙂

It’s a very interesting place. I’d describe as “rustic” and not for everyone.

Beautiful setting and the grounds etc are very relaxing. However be cautious if it’s hot weather as it’s very uncomfortable.

The AC unit provided wasn’t effective. However the outdoor fire and external bathroom were very nice touches. Even though it’s dog friendly a few local cats came onto the property so be warned 🙂

I wouldn’t recommend for everyone and I’ve provided feedback to the hosts including broken toilet seat, awning which fell on my dog and the unbearable temperature inside the RV.

Such a hidden gem! The caravan is in its own private courtyard with a bathroom, outdoor bath, firepit and table and chairs. It feels secluded and cosy, but is also walking distance from bars, restaurants and shops.
Everything was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home.
Such a lovely place for a little escape from the city and would love to stay again in future!

We loved our stay at Piccolo Lane. The location is superb and the spot itself is so gorgeous. The outdoor bathtub was definitely a stand out, but the van itself was so cute and comfortable. The stay was made even better with all the accomodations made for the furry members of our family – the space having a gorgeous little undercover spot for them to shelter in. Would definitely stay again!

This place is a FABULOUS little treasure. Gorgeous decor and super private. The bath was so relaxing, comfy bed, the little night lights in the garden, all the details were perfect. Right across the road from the Convent and 10 min walk into town. Clear communicational, and we got an early check in and later check out. A unique little getaway, this is one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Will be back. 100% recommend this little gem.

Loved this Cute and Comfy Retro Caravan Stay in a peaceful location a short walk from the centre of Daylesford. Enjoyed the lovely private outdoor bath.

We enjoyed our stay in the little caravan for two nights. The outdoor bath was sensational and easily fits two people. The hot water is very hot so be careful! Discover Daylesford were very helpful when we arrived and there was no hot water. They stayed in touch and had the problem fixed within the hour. My only complaint is the surrounding tin fence for the property which does rattle slightly in strong winds. It woke me a few times but nothing major. The decorating is fun and the place is homely.

A very cute getaway within walking distance to Daylesford attractions. A great bonus that we could bring our fury friend along.
