From the moment you arrive, the wraparound veranda invites you to slow down. Picture yourself sipping a glass of local wine as golden hour washes over the countryside, or curling up with a book while the scent of fresh country air drifts past.
Inside, the heart of the home unfolds into an airy, open-plan living, dining and kitchen area – light-filled, spacious and effortlessly welcoming. A crackling wood fire creates the perfect ambience for cosy winter evenings, while split system air conditioning keeps every season comfortable. Whether you’re sharing a long table feast, playing board games by the fire, or spilling out to the undercover entertaining deck, this is a space designed for making memories.
The modern kitchen makes cooking a joy, with timber benchtops, stainless steel appliances, and a freestanding 900mm gas stove ready for everything from morning pancakes to slow-cooked winter feasts.
When it’s time to retreat, four beautifully styled bedrooms offer the perfect sanctuary. The main suite feels like its own private hideaway with a walk-in robe and sleek ensuite, while the other three bedrooms share a sparkling central bathroom with a freestanding tub and a handy separate toilet – ideal for families and groups. Each bedroom (and the main living area) has its own split system air conditioner, ensuring everyone sleeps soundly – warm in winter, cool in summer.
Our property runs on beautiful, fresh rainwater, stored in a 33,000-litre tank, and the hot water and cooking are powered by gas bottles. We’ll always make sure there’s plenty of supply for your stay. On the rare occasion that a bottle runs empty, it’s a quick and simple fix – just flick a switch and turn a tap to restore the hot water or gas. Malmsbury is best explored by car, with plenty of parking available at the cottage and around town. The local train station is just minutes away, offering easy connections to Melbourne and Bendigo. Most attractions, wineries, and nearby towns like Kyneton and Daylesford are a short drive, so having a car makes it easy to see the best of the region at your own pace. Please always drive to the road conditions and plan ahead, it’s not unusual to encounter unsealed roads and wildlife so please drive with caution.
