The Space
Designed as an intimate escape for two guests, this single-level studio-style cottage has been cleverly arranged into distinct living, kitchen and sleeping zones, with a completely private bathroom. A comfortable queen bed provides a restful place to retreat at the end of the day, while the relaxed living area invites you to curl up together and enjoy a movie on the impressive 70-inch LG television, complete with Chromecast and soundbar. High-speed fibre Wi-Fi and a dedicated sit/stand workspace with a monitor also make Kingsleigh a great option for those looking to extend their stay or sneak in a little work while escaping to the country.
The kitchen has everything you need for an easy and relaxed stay, including a single induction cooktop, dishwasher and coffee plunger. Pick up beautiful local produce during your travels and enjoy breakfast at home before heading out for the day, or embrace Kingsleigh’s central location and leave the cooking behind altogether while discovering Daylesford’s renowned restaurant and café scene.

Step across the road to spend an afternoon treasure hunting at the iconic Mill Markets, wander approximately 800 metres to Lake Daylesford, or stroll around 600 metres into the centre of town for cafés, pubs, restaurants and shopping. Even The Convent and many of Daylesford’s local landmarks can be explored on foot, giving you the freedom to park the car and experience the town at your own pace.
Getting Around
Exploring the region is a breeze, thanks to the well-connected network of country roads. Opting for self-driving is highly recommended as it provides the utmost flexibility and convenience.

Check- in is smooth and effortless.
The surrounding garden is lovely and still being developed. The area is quiet.
The little cottage is very quaint, cosy and clean.
Having the lamps all on was a lovely thought on our late arrival.
Chocolates left on the bed was also a nice touch. A “goodies” draw for your pets which contained treats, food, toys and ball was an added delight.
The contained porch area is secure and high enough for our shepherd which allowed him the freedom to move around without a lead and also for us to sit, relax and chill. Once off the porch area we secured him with a lead as there is no front gate or closure and perimeter fences are not secure.
Note: if you are an older person(s) or not as agile the shower is located in and above the spa bath. Therefore, you have a big step in and out of the bath.

The house was well presented, comfortable and incredibly well stocked, with lots of thoughtful little touches. We especially loved the beautiful shower products, the fantastic TV for watching the Grand Final with a glass of wine, and the secure deck area where our dog could safely enjoy being outside.
The extra touches for our dog were such a lovely surprise; an entire drawer filled with dog treats and accessories. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making both people and pets feel welcome.
A beautiful, cosy place to stay and a wonderful base for our weekend in Daylesford. We would happily stay again!
