Goldfields Track

The Goldfields Track runs about 210 km from Mount Buninyong near Ballarat to Bendigo, shared by walkers and mountain bikers and marked with gold-topped posts. Its Wallaby Track section comes 52 km from Creswick through forest and old diggings to finish at Lake Daylesford, and the track continues north from there through Hepburn Regional Park. You don't need to tackle it all. Locals often follow the posts around the Peace Mile at Lake Daylesford or link the lake with Hepburn Springs. Check conditions before you go, as land managers close sections from time to time.
