Cobaw Ridge
About
Cobaw Ridge is a small family winery that Alan and Nelly Cooper planted in 1985 on granitic sandy soil at about 610 metres. Everything is grown, made and bottled on the five-hectare estate, which has been certified organic since 2009 and biodynamic since 2011. The range is tight and focused: chardonnay, rosé, pinot noir, syrah and lagrein, a northern Italian red the Coopers have become known for. Visits to the cellar door are by appointment only, so book ahead before you make the drive.
