Due to location be prepared to cook at the cottage which is well provided for.
We barbecued and used stove and oven.
The spa was lovely and the outlook from the cottage gorgeous.
Two hot tips – if you like the fire roaring all weekend then you can pick up more firewood at the service station which is walking distance. Also the spa drops from time to time, keep an eye on it.
The town is also extremely cute and is worth a wander around! Can’t wait to go back!
No issues keeping warm in the cooler weather with more than sufficient heating!
There seemed to be no one at the church which shares an outdoor area which made it super private. I feel if someone was staying there that we would be imposing too much though.
Lovely and clean and couldn’t be happier with our weekend accommodation!
The setting is quiet and scenic. We especially loved the spa and wood fire, the well-equipped kitchen, and the small touches throughout that made the stay feel extra special.
It’s a perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the slower pace of the countryside. Just a short drive to Castlemaine and Daylesford too if you’re looking to explore. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a serene stay.
One call out is that you share the courtyard and outdoor areas with the owner who occupies the church (although they werent there when we were), not a big deal but wasnt listed in description. Highly reccomend
Pros;
– Perfect for two
– Quiet
– Indoor fire with wood provided
– Comy robes
– Full kitchen
– Spa (just be sure to check temp doesn’t drop randomly, we had to check every few hours to keep putting it up because it kept trying to self cool)
– Beautiful scenery.
– We especially loved all the products provided in the bathroom.
– They even have a chilled filtered water system inside for drinking as well as a coffee machine.
– It was super easy to get a hold of the host and they were super attentive with helping us with an issue.
Cons;
– 3 nights wasn’t long enough
My partner and I very much enjoyed our time there, we would highly recommend it.
Thanks a lot team!!
We were keen for some R&R so didn’t explore the area too much. And the cottage is a beautiful place to stay in and enjoy each others company. I would definitely recommend ☺️
The town is very small and lovely to walk around. It’s close to Castlemaine and Kyneton for great day trips.
Would highly recommend for a getaway from Melbourne, wish we were staying longer.
