The Space
A classic picket fence and hedging frame the entrance and welcomes you inside the cosy home which features 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a newly renovated bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, laminated timber floorboards, split system A/C, a gas log fire plus gas ducted heating to ensure you are comfortable no matter what the weather.
Through the beautiful French doors onto the west-facing alfresco deck, guests will enjoy views of the gardens and Doctors Gully, providing the perfect location to sit and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, or bubbles. Take advantage of added features such as the outdoor pizza oven, complimentary WIFI, split system heating/cooling, gas log fire, Nespresso coffee pod machine, and a gorgeous country garden and alfresco area.

We loved our accommodation. Casa Merenda had all we needed and is in a great spot to visit the main streets of Daylesford. Warm, comfortable, roomy and inviting. Would stay here again. The outdoor area is also lovely and would be extra special on warmer days. The off street parking is snug for a small car but parking out front is fine too. Thanks DD Team.

Beautiful and cosy house, very comfortable and nicely decorated.
On Saturday night some (we assume) drunk people pounded on the front door in the middle of the night and actually kicked the flyscreen door in. I guess that’s the trade off for such a central location just up the road from pubs / bars etc.
Also, there was no “free parking on the premises” as listed.

After a bit of a confusing start with using AirBNB to book, it was worth the hassle. The cottage is so cute and feels so homely. The house was incredibly warm and the showerhead was fantastic (this is a make or break). Great value for money and in a convenient spot. Will be booking again!

Casa Merenda is a small, quaintly appointed cottage, very close to the heart of Daylesford. Beds were comfy and comms were very responsive. Took a bit to figure out where the bins were, and the living area was small but was perfect For our weekend to attend a birthday lunch at a local restaurant. No high chairs or Portacots were available, so we had to bring our own but we were able to make space for our twins to sleep separately in the small reading room.

We really enjoyed our stay at this homely place so close to town. The shower had fantastic pressure and the sheets and towels were of great quality. The house is super-cute and has good heating.

This is a beautiful, cosy accommodation with loads of character. Just a minute’s walk from the action, it is still a peaceful and quiet location. Highly recommend this accommodation and Discover Daylesford more generally – great business and lovely, happy staff.

We loved the feel of the house, so cosy such a comfortable family home for Christmas. The beds were really comfortable and the backyard was beautiful. \nThe only downfall was that this backyard is definitely not secure for a small dog. Lots of places for them to escape under gates and fences. We overcame this by securing all the gaps but this did take quite a bit of work.

Casa Merenda is a beautiful, cozy little house with a lovely atmosphere that my friends and I immediately felt at home in. We came to Daylesford for a girls’ weekend away and loved how close the house was to everything we needed and wanted to do. We walked everywhere! Check-in was easy, the property was very clean, the bathroom spotless, the beds are really comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. it really was a great stay, and we hope to book the house again someday.

Had a great stay here! It was very walkable to town and a little further to the lake. The house was clean and had everything you need. The gas heating was great as it was quite cool. My dogs felt right at home, only thing is the yard isn’t secure so make sure to supervise when they’re outside.

Lovely place to stay. Everything was easy to access and we loved the pizza oven 💚
Probably the only thing that got a dog friendly yard it did have spots where our smaller dog got out as the gate was padlocked shut it’s was tricky to get her we had to go out the front gate.
But other than that it was a great place to stay. Walking distance from town if you decide you don’t want to drive.

great escape for a short getaway from Melbourne. — great little cottage in walking distance to all you need when you stay in Daylesford. As it was quite cold outside we were very happy that the inside was already cosy warm when we arrived. Garden is fenced so dogs can’t escape. Kitchen is well equipped, no dishwasher though. Wasn’t an issue for us, we went out for dinner.

We had a great stay. Everything was as described. Walking distance to the city centre which was great for us.
The only note is for anyone with a small dog (like ours) you need to keep an eye on them when in the backyard/outside as the gates and fence has gaps a small dog can fit under.

We loved this little house. It was within easy walking distance of the township and felt like a home away from home.
The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was fantastic. The outside area was sheltered and provided very relaxing spaces for us to have a wine/cuppa/dinner.
There was some lattice in the open shed which we used to block off the gap under the side fence, so our dog was unable to escape.
We would definitely stay there again.

The home was great. Great location. There was some road noise in the mornings as expected. Our dog loved the yard however it wasn’t completely secure so we were unable to leave our dog unattended. Def not secure for small dogs . As has gaps under gates . That being said we would return .

Charming, clean, comfortable, convenient, character-filled stay In Daylesford, will return. — Fantastic location, we left the car at home and walked everywhere. Super clean, comfy beds and pillows. Lovey little touches made the home (and us) feel very cared for; even an umbrella at the back door in case of rain. Lovely deck with pretty garden views. Modern bathroom and handy second toilet.

Much needed me time. Loved that I could bring my dog. Daylesford is wonderful and we had a lovely time, both exploring and downtime at the house. The house looks bigger and more luxe in the photos, but it has lovely cottage vibes.

We had a lovely weekend stay at Casa Merenda, the cottage was clean and cosy with excellent heating, and a well equipped kitchen. Very central to town, we could walk to the retail and eating places, lake, convent, museum etc.
Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Merenda. The decor was beautiful and the house was thoughtfully provisioned with everything you would need for a weekend stay. It was toasty warm when we arrived on a cold Friday evening and everything was comfortable and beautifully arranged. The main shopping street and cafes were less than 5 minutes walk and we had a top notch Mexican takeaway from Los Fridays. A perfect stay. Thanks!

We loved our stay in this beautifully styled space in a great location, easy walking distance to the main shops! It has excellent heating in the chilly weather and our dogs loved being able to explore the garden. As a heads up our mini dachshunds were able to fit under the front and back gates so had to supervise them closely when outside.

Casa Merenda was a cosy 2 bedroom house/ cottage with everything we needed. It is quite romantic place for a getaway. Everything we needed was walking distance from it. We highly recommend it and would stay there again. We couldn’t fault it. Great kitchen, reading room etc. It just had a warm feel about it.

Can’t recommend this house enough. It was spotlessly clean!! Comfy beds with hotel bedding. Very cosy, as it was pretty cold outside and heating worked a treat. Very close and walkable to all the restaurants and cafes and they also recommended 3 gorgeous places to eat. Brilliant experience all round

Super quaint cottage with great details and close to town. It was a little tricky to find (there’s two similar addresses) but we got there in the end. Host was very prompt with communication. Parking is on the street with a bit of a slope to the house. Interesting backyard, bigger than expected. Cooktop not amazing and no dishwasher, missed a microwave. Lovely new bathroom 👍🏼

Great little 2 bedroom cottage. Country feel with modern bathroom and all the amenities you would want. Loved having coffee pod machine and milk supplied. Little extras in the kitchen (olive oil, salt and pepper, sauce, glad wrap etc.) made cooking at home inexpensive. Rain head shower with heaps of water and great pressure. Lovely extras like picnic blanket and basket, umbrellas, games, cards, plenty of books to suit all tastes. The location was quiet but also very central and literally took a few minutes to walk to the main street – coffee, shops etc.
