Fabulous location, very comfortably appointed and perfect for our short stay. — Being allowed an earlier check-in, although last minute was a bonus as we were in town for a wedding, and were being picked up at 2pm. We checked in at 1.40pm, just prior to so we could leave our bags inside the room.

We chose Balconies Lakeside Daylesford because of the beautiful views shown in the photos, but unfortunately our experience did not live up to expectations. On arrival, we were disappointed to find that our room was located around the corner with a view of a tree rather than the lake.
The room itself had several issues:
– A lingering unpleasant smell
– Noticeable dust and dirty outdoor furniture
– Garden furniture with mould
– No shower curtain, and the toilet squashed awkwardly between the shower, making it uncomfortable to use
– Microwave not working
– Pillows of very poor quality, making it difficult to sleep
For $300 per night, we felt the room was not good value.
Positives: The surrounding area was lovely. The walking track around Lake Daylesford was peaceful and beautiful, and the nearby coffee shop served excellent coffee. Check-in was listed as 3 pm, though they did kindly allow us in at 2 pm.
Overall, while the location is great, the accommodation itself needs improvement.

A beautifully decorated and well-equipped studio in a stunning location, with great comforts and tho — Absolutely gorgeous studio in a stunning location. Beautifully decorated space. Very comfortable king size bed. A kitchen with everything you need. Great bathroom with heated floor! A must!
Loved the chairs outside that we used in the morning to have coffee and enjoy the little window of sun on a cold September weekend.
It was perfect. We will go back! 😁

The space had everything we required, including a kitchenette, heaters, tv with WiFi, electric blanket & underfloor heating in the bathroom and heated towel rails. And a stunning view!

Great quiet location, but it's still close to town and restaurants. Beautiful lake views from the balcony and access to walking track. Studio apartment was clean and had everything you need for your stay. The bed was super comfortable.

Everyone have different experience and this is mine — Very strong Bleach smell as soon as we get in the room and that stayed there for 3 hrs straight as the bathroom floor was absolutely wet with bleach mop. Headaches started it was that much strong. Had to leave with in 4 hours. Money is not the problem but time was ruined.
