Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens

Daylesford Heritage Listed Gardens

Located at the top of Wombat Hill in the centre of Daylesford is the historic Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens. 

Locals and visitors have been enjoying the panoramic views and beautiful surrounds since the 1860s. Perched high on the summit of an extinct volcano, it’s the perfect spot for a picnic.

Climb the Pioneers Lookout Tower for uninterrupted views of Daylesford town and surrounds, take in the colour and magnificent floral charms of Begonia House, or allow time to take a break for a coffee at the cafe hidden amongst the plants.

The Friends of Wombat Hill have regular plant sales in the gardens and a small trolley full of plants for sale located at the cafe.
