This spectacular home has been beautifully restored and updated whilst retaining its period character and charm. The home is situated high on Wombat Hill, offering panoramic sunset views over the township and out to the west with direct access to the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and Wombat Hill House Cafe.
The country style kitchen on the first floor includes Smeg appliances and decorative ned kelly fireplace, while a bright and spacious living room features a cosy gas log fireplace and panoramic views. French doors open from the dining room out to the terrace and gardens with outdoor entertaining area, perfect for alfresco dining or a leisurely afternoon cocktail under the wisteria covered pergola.
There are two downstairs bedrooms with a separate laundry, toilet and bathroom; all serviced by split system heating and cooling for year round comfort. Upstairs consists of a large bedroom with period windows overlooking the historic multi-tiered gardens.
Daylesford and surrounding region has long been considered a special place of healing, relaxation and indulgence. Nestled at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, the region is most famously known for its natural mineral springs and is home to some of the best restaurants, cafe’s, galleries, wineries and distilleries regional Victoria has to offer. Located just under an hour and a half from Melbourne, the region is home to some of Australia’s most spectacular natural landscapes brimming with native flora and fauna. Note: We have a small TV at Foxglove Villa, which is a conscious choice. Our guests, family and friends appreciate the peaceful secluded beauty of Foxglove Villa and the opportunity it provides to immerse themselves in the natural world while taking a break from the rat-race. We hope you will switch your “screen time” for “view time” and enjoy the location of this beautiful home.
Foxglove Villa is a tranquil hideaway perched atop Wombat Hill, with terraced gardens, and multiple viewing areas. We are pleased to welcome families of all sizes to our special home, however it may not be suitable for small children as they will need supervision at all times around stairs and the terrace balustrade. You are responsible for your own safety and that of any children on the property.

We pride ourselves on being good and respectful neighbours and enforce a no pets, no parties, no events policy at this property. A government issued form of ID will also be required to comply with the terms of our insurer. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you.

There is a limited bus service operating between our beautiful towns. The PTV website will provide the most up to date schedule/timetable. There is a taxi and maxi-taxi local service which can be contacted on 03 5348 1111. Unfortunately Uber has not quite reached us yet.
